Sim Heeren

Head Racquet Professional Juniors
Phone: 610-269-7204

Born in South Africa, Sim started playing tennis at age 5. After his family moved to the states and settled in the Philadelphia area, Sim joined the Arthur Ashe Center (now Legacy) at age 15. The Center quickly became his second home while attending Cardinal O'Hara High School where he played #1 and was named to first team all Catholic. He played collegiate tennis at Chestnut Hill College and then transferred to play at Ave Maria University in Florida. Sim worked as a junior instructor at a Legacy NJTL site in West Philadelphia and has been coaching at Legacy for the past 2 years. Sim has worked with all levels from Munchkins (ages 5-7) and then all other levels in between. He has also worked with the High Performance players who play in national and high level sectional tournaments.

His favorite quote is "Excellence is an art won by training by habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." Aristotle
